✨ How I’m Resetting My Life This August (Routines, Goals & Vibes)

There’s something magical about August.

It’s still technically summer—but you can feel fall whispering in the distance. It’s that beautiful in-between space where we start craving structure again, craving something fresh, something intentional. And for me, that means a full-on life reset.

If you’ve been feeling a little out of rhythm lately (same), then August is your perfect chance to start again. Not in a dramatic “new me” kind of way, but in a soft, slow, nurturing way.

So here's how I’m resetting my life this month—with routines, goals, and vibes that feel good.

☀️ Morning Routine: Romanticizing the Everyday

My goal isn’t perfection—it’s presence.
Here’s what I’m slowly building into my mornings this month:

  • Wake up earlier (even just 15–20 min before I “have to”)

  • Skincare + a big glass of water

  • Stretch or slow movement

  • Prayer, journaling, or scripture reading

  • Sit outside for 5 minutes before screens

Just doing two of these each morning makes a difference. The point is to start my day on my terms—not Instagram’s.

📝 Daily Intentions: Tiny but Mighty

Rather than overwhelming to-do lists, I’m trying this instead:

  • 1 thing for my mind (read, learn something new)

  • 1 thing for my body (walk, stretch, hydrate)

  • 1 thing for my soul (pray, rest, connect)

  • 1 thing for my future (side hustle, saving, small step)

These categories keep me grounded and balanced without burnout.

🧼 Weekly Reset Rituals

Every Sunday (or whatever day works for you), I’m doing a weekly reset that includes:

  • Light cleaning (laundry, vacuum, fresh sheets)

  • Planning out meals + grocery list

  • Reviewing last week (what worked, what didn’t)

  • Setting 3 main goals for the week ahead

  • Choosing a vibe or word of the week (mine this week: intentional)

I light a candle, play some chill music, and make it feel like self-care—because it is.

🎯 August Goals (Soft & Supportive)

Instead of big, scary goals, I’m setting intentions like:

  • Finish one book

  • Move my body 3x per week

  • Put $50 into savings

  • Try one new recipe

  • Stay off my phone the first hour of the day

  • Focus on progress, not perfection

Little habits, done consistently, change everything.

💐 The Vibe: Clean Slate, Clear Mind

August is my gentle nudge to come home to myself.
To rest and re-align. To romanticize the structure I used to resist.
To do things that future-me will thank me for.
